    Lise Meitner was born in Vienna, Austria on November 7, 1878. She traveled from Vienna to Berlin. Her purpose of doing so was to study with Max Planx and then she started working with Otto Hahn. Once she had finished her stay in Berlin, she then went to Copenhagen where she secretly met with Otto Hahn. She died on October 27, 1968.

    OTTO HAHN
    Otto Hahn was born on the 8th of March in the year of 1879 in Frankfurt-on- Main. Otto went to a secondary High School until he transferred schools. Hahn went from London back to Europe where he then moved to Berlin to the Chemical Institute. Later on that year (1907) he met Meitner. Otto Hahn’s work was put on hold when he had to go and serve in the first world war. Otto died on July 28, 1968.

    Lise Meitner and Otto Hahn collaborated together on the study of chemistry in the year of 1907. When Hahn and Meitner collaborated they discovered nuclear fission (the process of splitting atoms) with uranium. Without nuclear fission we could not have power plants. Without power plants we could not have electricity in our houses!!!!!!
